What is Ghost Mode?

Designed to challenge learners to beat previous Kahoot! scores, Ghost Mode is all about motivation, healthy competition, and reinforcing learning through fun repetition. Here are 3 ways to play Kahoot! in Ghost Mode:

Option 1: Play again right away

At the end of the game, you'll see the winner's name displayed. Click Feedback & Results, and then click Final Results. You should now see a Ghost Mode button at the bottom of the scoreboard. Click Ghost Mode to launch the game again and play against the scores from the first game.

Option 2: Play again later

Let's say you want to play the same game in Ghost Mode later in the year so learners can see just how much they've progressed. Log in to your Kahoot! account (create.kahoot.it) and click on your name in the top right corner. Choose My Results to see a list of all the games you've ever hosted. Next to each game, you'll see a purple button with a ghost. Click Play Again to play against the ghosts of that game.

Option 3: Share the link

Also on the My Results page, click Share Link to copy a link to launch the Ghost Mode version of that game. You can share on social media, your school's intranet or email to let others try to beat your ghost(s) - some teachers send the link home as homework so students can try to beat their own scores at home.
