At this point, check your inbox for an email that contains your username and a link to reset your password. It should appear in your inbox within 5 minutes in most cases. The link to reset your password is only valid for 24 hours.
Sometimes, this email will be filtered into your junk/spam folder. If it’s nowhere to be found, your email likely belongs to a school/business that has security settings that are blocking our auto-generated email. To resolve this, contact an IT Admin at your school/business and ask that they whitelist emails from “firstname.lastname@example.org”.
Click the link in this email to be taken to a page that lets you reset your password. Alternatively, you can copy the link and paste it into the address bar of any web browser. Once you’ve set your new password, you should see this message:
You should be able to sign in again using your username and new password.
If you still can't sign in...
- Sometimes browser extensions alter the information that's submitted to our servers. So try using a different browser to reset your password and sign in.
- Are you 16 or under? If so, make sure you're using your username (not your email) to sign in. Learn more about why we require an email to sign up and why 16 or under users can't use email to sign in.
