When students join the Kahoot, the instructor can assign individuals to a team. Each person in the team answers the question and their score is combined with the rest of the team members for the displayed team score.828 votes
Make it possible to randomize the order of the questions. And have the option to put them in any given order
This will make quizzes more easy to repeat, without the participants just remembering the order of the answers. Especially in a classroom setting.
A quiz about f.ex; countries in Europe, would be able to be replayed after new information about the topic has been presented. Having the questions show up in a different order will challenge the player to think more about the question before answering514 votes
Some good news from Kahoot! HQ – we have just released a feature that you voted for!
You can now randomize the questions on a Kahoot, allowing you to reuse the same quiz several times but with variation to keep your students paying attention.
We hope that you enjoy this new feature, if you have any comments or feedback, please get in touch.
Based on your screen size and resolution, text can sometimes be difficult to see. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts to zoom in, increasing the size of fonts, images, and videos:
ONLINE KAHOOT! you get to play with players around the world! (must have an account)240 votes
This feature is already possible to achieve through using a third party service such as Google Hangout or Skype.
Have a look at this blog post for inspiration on how to set this up, and get in touch with us if you would like some assistance with connecting to another classroom.
Kahoots! should make their own quizzes for school subject and organize them by topic and grade level to help students everywhere
Kahoot! should make their own quizzes. I know that they have an introquiz, but I mean for actual topics for school, like History, Math, Physics, etc. and then they could have grade levels. this could be extremely helpful for students and would expand Kahoot! even more.205 votes
New search filters such as Grade level and topic have been added to our Discover page. This is already compeleted.
Not show the answer chosen on the screen after the student picks. My lower performing students are waiting to pick their answer after my higher performing students. Since they can see the color on the other students screens after the answer is chosen it's very easy for these students to just sit back and not actually answer the question for themselves.149 votes
We have released a brand new feature that will prevent students from seeing the answers on each other’s screens. We hope you like it!
The new kick feature is good, but not exactly necessary. Better is to show the teacher the list of nicknames before they are displayed on screen and the teacher must either approve or disapprove. In this way, it cuts out the chance that a student uses an inappropriate nickname that automatically gets displayed on screen, which in turn, could derail the entire class. Taking away the students' ability to be the class clown and detract from the experience seems more efficient and effective than taking a passive approach to nickname approval, such as kicking those whose names have already been displayed.

A new Game option called “Name Generator” has been recently added to prevent students from entering inappropriate nicknames. This is already completed.
As part of our commitment to keeping Kahoot! a safe and enjoyable learning environment for everyone, over the weekend of 10th/11th May 2014 we are phasing in a new way to "kick" inappropriate nicknames from a game.
Find out more about how it works here: http://blog.getkahoot.com/post/85217426087/how-to-kick-inappropriate-or-mischievous-nicknames
We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!90 votes
Thanks for your brilliant responses to our kick functionality, it seems it’s an overwhelming success.
Some people have commented on this idea with additional ideas – please do post them in our forums (https://kahoot.uservoice.com/forums/181012-general/) for other users to vote/comment on :)
And please continue with the regular feedback, it’s hugely helpful and important when we evolve Kahoot! going forward.
I don't want to make my Kahoots available to the world since the questions I use are similar to my test questions, but at the same time I would like to give them to students who need them. Perhaps a temporary link that lasts for about 48 hours and lets students access a Kahoot and quiz themselves? Something similar to the preview feature would most likley work.77 votes
Thanks for making a suggestion. Good news though, this is already possible! If your students have their own Kahoot! accounts, you can use the Share functionality to share a private Kahoot.
Have a look at this FAQ article for more information: https://getkahoot.com/support/faq/#can-my-students-play-from-home
If they play a shared game from their own account, they can use Preview mode and then send you the download of their results for marking.
I hope that you enjoy giving this a try, and Happy Kahooting!
This would allow you to reuse the choices/answers you've already entered, instead of entering them for each question.
For example, I teach German and would use this as a way to review the articles (der, die, das, die) of nouns. If I could duplicate the questions, I wouldn't have retype "der," "die," "das," and "die (pl)" for the answer choices for each question. I would also use the feature when making games to practice verb endings.61 votes
I’m happy to let you know that we have now released this feature!
You can duplicate questions, and answers, which will allow you to make incremental changes without copying text. This gives a pedagogical advantage, for example you can create a quiz that contains only a small change between questions, encouraging deeper concentration and focus from your students.
It is also useful for repetition of maths problems, or grammar and sentence structures in language tuition.
Let us know if you find creative ways of using this feature, and happy Kahooting!
Basically like a kahoot but everyone does it by themselves. They can also see the question on their phone.60 votes
You can see your username in the top-right corner of the screen once logged in. If you’d like to change it, click it and choose “My Profile”. If you can’t login because you forgot it, you can use your email in place of your username. If you forgot both your username and password, find out how to reset your password here:

You can now duplicate questions when creating a Kahoot to save from having to re-type questions/answers. Here’s a guide: https://community.kahoot.it/t/kahoottips-how-to-duplicate-questions/234
If you would like to duplicate question from other Kahoots, you can comment/vote on the idea here: https://kahoot.uservoice.com/forums/181012-general/suggestions/6479498-allow-teachers-to-make-a-question-bank-and-then-co
Happy kahooting! :)
This would force students to have to watch all of the video before committing to an answer.48 votes
This is possible by creating a “No Points” question before the “Points” question. Check out this article for more on making “No Points” questions:
Can you make it possible by saving Kahoots in either me or favorites?45 votes
quiz results ought to contain also number of correct answers per user besides player scores. Currently this is only available on the individual worksheets, which makes it difficult to tally up number of correct answers per player44 votes
Hi all, this is Team Kahoot! here! Just to let you know, we have now updated our results spreadsheet.
You can now see how every student performed in a game in one overview, with how many right/wrong answers they got, and what they answered for each question.
Download it after your next Kahoot! game to see!
Thanks for your suggestions and for taking the time to feedback to us. Happy Kahooting! :)
Use the Kahoot! platform to allow students to "check-in" to their class.
A playful and quick way to take attendance at the start of every lesson. Students use their mobile device and see their name appear at the front of the class - also acts as a quick way into the first quiz of the day.
If you like the sound of this idea, please place your vote! And feel free to add any comments/thoughts on how this could work.40 votes
For foreign language it would be great have a convert keyboard to type out the correct annotations for various language questions.39 votes
Hey there, you can do this in the same way as you would with a text document – if this is not working for you, please reply to this and we can help you out :)
Happy Kahooting! :)
add to the search engine grade levels: early elementary, upper elementary, middle school grades, and high school, post high school.38 votes
A new search filter has been added to sort searches according to Grade level. This is already completed.

If you click the cover image or title of a kahoot and are on a device where the browser spans at least 1200px wide, you’ll see a ‘Preview’ button that allows you to do this!
